We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Coordinator Development and Traffic Services to join our team. This pivotal role will be responsible for overseeing the assessment, approval, and quality assurance of development activities, ensuring all infrastructure assets meet statutory, planning, and engineering requirements. The successful candidate will also coordinate engineering assessments for development proposals and provide expert traffic management solutions to support new and ongoing projects.
As a key member of our development team, you will lead traffic engineering investigations, manage infrastructure planning, and deliver solutions that improve safety and efficiency for our growing community.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or similar) Hold a current unrestricted C class national driver's licence Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience Experience in leading and managing a team of technical and engineering staff Developed knowledge and experience in civil design and project management of traffic management and municipal infrastructure projects including road, drainage, car parks, footpaths, and street lighting Experience in carrying out detailed engineering investigations, designs, and estimates for civil infrastructure and traffic management projects Experience in interpreting and applying civil engineering design and construction specifications and standards Ability to design and implement business systems, policies, and procedures to improve organisational asset management capacity Working knowledge of Local Government budget preparation and implementation procedures Developed understanding of the Local Government Act, Australian Standards, and other legislative requirements High level leadership and coordination skills High level of negotiation, communication, and consultation skills High level organisational, decision-making, and project management ability The finer details
This full-time Level 9 position attracts a salary range of $125,891 - $134,254 gross per annum dependent on qualifications and experience. The position also includes a $10,000 car allowance.
