The Role As our Coordinator Community Strengthening, you will lead a team which focuses on community development and capability building, community hub planning and management - including being the service lead for halls, libraries and neighbourhood houses - and community safety. The team also leads the delivery of the Community Grants Program helping the community to connect, engage and thrive.
In this varied role, you will:
Lead the development and management of a range of policies, plans, programs and projects that are efficient, innovative and responsive to community needs. Lead and support the Community Strengthening team, demonstrating positive, values-driven leadership and management capabilities. Work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders and promote community development and strengths-based approaches and collective impact on priority community needs. Lead and enable the efficient and innovative delivery of initiatives outlined in the Council Plan and other relevant Council plans and strategies. About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
Leadership experience in community development and capability building The ability to promote effective and coordinated advocacy and action for our community Ability to provide support and direction to a large and diverse team Strong project management skills, ensuring projects are completed on time, to the scope and to budget Sound financial management experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills A satisfactory police check and an employee Working with Children Check is required for this position.
