We are looking for a skilled and experienced Site Coordinator to join our team in Canberra. This person will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects by leading installation teams, managing site operations, and building strong relationships with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Project Management:Oversee the installation of commercial furniture on-site, ensuring projects are completed on time and to a high standard.Coordinate daily site activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and managing timelines.Team Leadership:Lead and supervise a team of installers, ensuring productivity and quality of work.Train and mentor team members to maintain high standards and foster a collaborative environment.Defect Management:Identify and rectify on-site defects promptly to maintain the quality of installations.Use hands-on skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.Client and Stakeholder Communication:Liaise with site managers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.Build and maintain strong professional relationships while confidently standing your ground when necessary.Safety and Compliance:Ensure adherence to workplace health and safety standards on-site.Maintain compliance with company and client protocols and regulations.About You To excel in this role, you will bring:
Proven experience in site coordination or similar roles, preferably within the commercial furniture or construction industries.A background as a hands-on tradesperson (example: carpenter / cabinet maker) with the ability to handle tools confidently.Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams effectively and inspire high performance.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, site managers, and team members.A proactive and solutions-focused mindset, with the ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment.Qualifications and Requirements Relevant trade qualification or equivalent experience (e.g., cabinet making, carpentry, or construction).Previous experience on construction sites is highly desirable.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various sites as required.Must have a white card, asbestos awareness card and silica cardWhat We Offer Competitive salary package.Opportunity to work with a leading company in the commercial furniture industry.A supportive and collaborative team environment.Ongoing professional development and career progression opportunities.How to Apply If you are a motivated and skilled individual with the qualities of a strong leader and hands-on problem solver, we want to hear from you.
