About the Role
The Instructional Specialist is an exemplary classroom practitioner and a member of the school's senior leadership team. The Instructional Specialist is responsible for leading school wide teaching and learning initiatives, supporting teachers to deliver a high quality reformed curriculum, transforming pedagogical practice, and ensuring excellent student outcomes.
Specifically, the successful applicant will be a person with:
a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience experience leading staff in professional learning demonstrated success improving student outcomes demonstrated success in implementing school wide initiatives valid Working With Children Check clearance (WWC) number willingness to respect, support and uphold the mission, ethos and teachings of the Catholic Church and the values of Sydney Catholic Schools. This full-time role is scheduled to commence on Friday, 31 January 2025. The Coordinator position is a 3 point promotional role, temporary for up to 3 years, however your teaching position will be full-time and permanent.
You will have attained:
a tertiary qualification in Education eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead. To excel in this role, you will be able to:
create and implement engaging, rigorous planned learning experiences catering to the diverse needs of students demonstrate sound knowledge in developing a K-6 Curriculum and the application of effective learning pedagogies utilise formative and summative assessments to drive student progress employ a data-informed approach to setting challenging learning objectives and providing constructive feedback support the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students demonstrate excellent classroom management skills focused on student well-being integrate technology to enhance contemporary learning experiences.
