This is an exciting dual role which includes delivering both Customer and Ramp services on behalf of Star Aviation to Airline customers! As the 'face of the company' to clients and passengers, you will put safety and the customers' needs at the heart of all required tasks. The successful candidate for this role is required to pass a pre-employment medical prior to beginning training and employment and must be available to travel to attend mandatory training from Monday 9th December - Friday 13 December 2024 in Brisbane (travel and accommodation and expenses are provided).Key Responsibilities:Ramp Officer Duties:Perform Ramp functions including marshalling aircraft on the ramp (e.g. directing, assisting and parking all arriving, departing and towed aircraft)Transfer cargo (including luggage) to other gates, other airlines and to passengersResponsible for courteous, prompt, accurate and careful handling of customer baggage, airfreight and company material; continuous lifting, loading/unloading, sorting and transfer of baggage, freight and company material.Ensure compliance with all Uniform & PPE requirements Management of GSEEnsure the safe and secure operation of all equipment.Test all relevant equipment for serviceability before commencement of every shift.Customer Service Officer Duties:Deliver check-in services on behalf of Star Aviation and its Airline customersEnsure you operate in a safe environment and demonstrate a clear understanding of the Health and Safety policies and proceduresPolitely welcome passengers as they arrive at the terminal counterCompare information on tickets with passenger data to ensure it all matches and is correct (including any visa documentation that may be required)Educate passengers about airport security protocols and luggage allowancesSafely direct passengers to the correct gate for their flightRepresent both the Airline and Star to the highest level ensuring customer satisfactionPerform boarding gate duties including public announcements as per our client's requirementsComplete passenger marshalling duties maintaining a safe and secure environment as per our client's requirementsProvide baggage handling servicesLiaise with passengers regarding missing baggageAction basic administration dutiesSkills and Experiences:Clear communication and good interpersonal skillsAbility to perform all duties at a high standard of customer serviceA valid Australian driver licenceA valid Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) - or ability to obtain oneExperience with Aviation/Airline industry – desirableRelevant Airline specific training modules and coursesCaring approach to dealing with peopleExcellent organisation and time management skillsStrong ability to multi-task, priorities and meet deadlinesCustomer focus to deliver exceptional serviceAbility to adapt to changing priorities and situationsAble to work well in a fast-paced team environmentHealth and Safety TrainingManual Handling proceduresConflict resolution skillsProficient in report writing, in plain and clear EnglishIntermediate skills for Microsoft Office Suite #J-18808-Ljbffr
