Warehousing, Storage & Distribution (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)Our growing agribusiness, located in Newry, Gippsland, is renowned for producing Australia's finest gourmet baby leaf salad mixes. We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Cool Room/Procurement Manager to join our Hussey & Co family.Reporting directly to the Farm Operations Manager, you will be responsible for supervising the daily cool room functions, including quality assurance, inventory control, forklift operations, staff rosters, as well as procurement and purchase orders for all stockable farm items.You will be capable of resolving issues quickly and efficiently. This is a hands-on role where you'll need to have a high level of commitment to the job with problem-solving skills that demonstrate your ability to evaluate information quickly and find solutions.The key accountabilities for this position will include but not be limited to:Manage the flow of the product entering the cool room / vacuum coolerManage the loading and unloading of the harvest at the cool roomOversee quality checks of product arriving from harvestLiaise with the farm operations team to ensure daily targets are metStaff management and supervision, including disciplining adherence to standardsMaintain all records of cool room matters and procedures on all platforms – Docs, Apunga, Deputy, Talent LMS, MEX and SharePointMonitor occupational health and safety with the team, reporting and investigating all incidentsMaintain efficiency of the cool room teamResolve problems that occur on shiftOversee bin washingLiaise with logistics regarding trucks and supportAssist department managers with procurement of stockable itemsRaise purchase orders and monitor the PO processTo be successful, you will need to demonstrate that you:3 years experience in a people management/supervision positionQualification in agriculture or minimum five years experience in a similar roleHave excellent written and verbal communication skillsHave a highly committed and motivated attitude with the drive to grow and succeedStrong analytical and conceptual skillsExcellent computer skills and proven experience working with the Microsoft SuiteMotivated and proactiveAttention to detail is a mustAn excellent salary package will be on offer to the successful candidate with the opportunity to join a well-known organisation which facilitates an excellent culture and personal growth and development.As a company, we recognise our people are our greatest asset; we value attitude as well as talent and provide opportunities to those who demonstrate the ability and drive to succeed in their role.If you want to join a passionate and dynamic culture, then please apply now!#J-18808-Ljbffr
