Parkview Hotel and Jak Hospitality are seeking expressions of interest from qualified and experienced Cooks (multiple) for Parkview Hotel (Orange), Millthorpe Hotel (Central West), and Parrot Distilling Co (Orange) locations. You must possess either a minimum of Certificate IV in Cookery or have a minimum of 3 years of work experience as a Cook. The salary range offered is $74,000 to $80,000 plus superannuation, dependent on your skills, experience, and uniqueness you will bring to the business. An ideal candidate should be professionally qualified and/or experienced in a busy environment and able to work under pressure. These positions are open to Australian professionals as well as overseas professionals.
Reporting to the Chef, key duties for this position are as follows:
Food preparation and dish creation as per the menuPrepare diet-specific food items and customized ordersEnsure food presentation and plating meets quality benchmarksEstimate food and labor costs within the kitchen operationsActively participate in deciding weekly specials and their market pricesAssist the Chef in recruiting staff, including junior cooks and other kitchen workersSupervise and coordinate activities of junior workers engaged in food preparationCheck the quantity and quality of received products and inventoryMonitor sanitation and hygiene practices, and food regulations of the kitchen workersReceive and implement customer feedback and suggestions where requiredAssist management in budgeting, negotiating prices, and kitchen purchasesContribute to the planning of special events e.g., weddings, parties, and banquetsYour application will include the following questions:
