This full-time position offers a competitive salary package of AUD 70,000–80,000 per annum, plus superannuation.

Role Responsibilities The day-to-day operation of a busy kitchen, including delegating staff, stock rotation and relevant paperwork.Prepare and cook foods of all types, either on a regular basis or for special guests or functions.Determine production schedules and staff requirements necessary to ensure the timely delivery of services.Estimate amounts and costs of required supplies, such as food and ingredients.Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure conformance to established standards.Monitor sanitation practices to ensure that employees follow standards and regulations.Analyze recipes to assign prices to menu items based on food, labour, and overhead costs.Collaborate with other personnel to plan and develop recipes and menus, considering factors such as seasonal availability of ingredients and the likely number of customers.Good knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (WHS) AND HACCP.Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to staff.Setting up, cleaning, and organising workstations.Preparing oven, utensils, and grill for shift.Cooking order according to food health and safety standards.Assisting other cooks in preparing food or helping other team members when needed.Sanitising and cleaning workstations and utensils. Key Requirements Certificates III & IV in Commercial Cookery from Australia (preferred).At least 2 years of experience as a Chef specializing in Bistro Menu or a similar cuisines.Strong knowledge of WHS and HACCP standards.Excellent teamwork and communication skills.Willingness to relocate, if necessary.Australian or NZ citizenship, permanent residency, or valid capacity to work in Australia.
