The Smithton District Hospital are seeking a motivated Cook (Non Trade) to provide high standard food preparation and presentation of meals to our patients, community clients and staff.
The successful applicant will ensure individualised dietary needs are provided and all meal preparation and delivery meet the standards set out in the Food Safety Plan. They will also monitor the use and storage of food, perishable goods and other consumables in accordance with the standards set out in the Food Safety plan.

Smithton District Hospital (SDH) is a small sized sub-acute public hospital located in Smithton Tasmania with 12 inpatient beds. It services the whole Circular Head region with a catchment population of 8000 people.
Details of Appointment: Permanent, part-time shift-worker position working 48 hours per fortnight, commencing from November 2024.
*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Salary: $60,666 - $63,222 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Union Wages Agreement 2022.
