Cook/Kitchen Hand

Fit Food Perth are a healthy meal preparation business, focusing on high quality, convenient pre packaged meals. We are a very small team who are looking for reliable workers that are willing to stick with us for an extended period of time. You will be working alongside the two owners, who are very easy going but expect a high standard.
You must be okay with working some longer hours as sometimes our shifts run over, please don't apply if you're not okay with being on your feet for an extended period of time.

We are advertising for TWO roles:

Assistant cook to the head chef
Kitchen hand/dishwasher/warehouse assistant

Assistant Cook:
This role requires you to have had some experience as a cook/chef. We are happy to consider someone currently training as will show and teach you exactly how we would like things to be done. Pay rate will be based on skill level. Bonuses and pay increases are included. This role is casual but will happily offer part time to the right person.
Days available:
Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday 7.30 - approximately 4.30 but may be earlier/later.
The role includes:

Helping the head chef with various cooking applications on a large scale. Tasks include - meat and vegetable preparation, operating a combi oven for steaming/roasting/baking, helping on the grill/hotplate, assembling the final meal
Portioning large quantities of meals
Shopping for ingredients
Some dishes and cleaning

Kitchen Hand:
This role includes:

Chopping large quantities of vegetables
Dishes
Cleaning kitchen equipment
Other small, easy warehouse jobs
Shopping and stock rotation

Previous work in a kitchen is necessary.
The days available are:
Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday 7.30-4.30 kitchen hand shift
Additiona extra shifts may include:
Thursday 7-12 help pack orders for delivery
Job Types: Part-time, Casual
Pay: $28.26 – $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
