NEED TO KNOW This business is not easily accessed by public transport and is located in the Grantville area of Victoria - an easy 45 minutes from Dandenong, Pakenham, Frankston and 20 minutes from San Remo. You will be required to work a rotating roster that will include every 2nd weekend. You will be required to work over School Holidays and Public Holidays (the busiest times for this business). Very few finishes past 5:30pm (occasional evening shift for pre-booked functions). Free on-site parking. Work with a family owned business that cares about their team. The Role: You will demonstrate:
A happy, positive, can-do attitude. Experience working in a hands-on restaurant/bistro or similar styled venue. Uncompromising attitude towards high food quality, presentation & safety. Excellent planning skills & the ability to think on your feet. Job Tasks & Responsibilities: Work effectively with Head Chef & other Chef/s. Prepare ingredients for dishes upon the instructions of Head Chef. Assist in operating commercial cooking equipment such as stoves, cookers, ovens & fryers. Make sure food supplies are stored properly and used resourcefully. Assist in cooking activities by providing input & managing workload. Handle portion control requirements & presentation standards. Ensure kitchen is clean and organised at all times. Adapt meals to dietary requirements as required. Experience needed; however, formal qualifications are not required for the right candidate!
