The venue is positioned directly adjacent to supermarket giant Woolworths, allowing immediate patronage and ample off-street parking. We are currently looking for a Cook to work with our kitchen team at Belmore Hotel Scone. Duties & Responsibilities Responsible for preparing delicious meals for our customers. Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment, like knives, pans and kitchen scales. Study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients. Cook food in a timely manner. Delegate tasks to kitchen staff. Inform wait staff about daily specials. Ensure appealing plate presentation. Monitor food stock and assist with orders. Check the freshness of food and discard out-of-date items. Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area. Provide exceptional customer service for the front bar, bistro and beer garden. Monitor inventory of supplies stock/equipment as inform management of necessary purchases Reporting to Head Chef or Hotel Management Coordinate and assist with menu for special events parties. Qualifications and Requirements: Commercial cookery qualifications are preferred but not essential. Minimum of 2-3 years relevant commercial kitchen experience All relevant experience will be considered for the Cook role You will be self-motivated and able to act autonomously and oversee, delegate tasks to junior kitchen staff to ensure meals are prepared in a timely manner. Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 a year (commensurate to skills and experience)
