HammondCare Waratah is currently looking for an experienced aged care cook to join our team. HammondCare has a unique model of care which places the residents' needs as our number one priority.
As a part of the Support Service's Team, you will support our model of care by delivering high-quality meals within our Main Kitchen to our residents in accordance with HammondCare's mission and mission in action statement.
To be successful in this role, you will: Experience working in a commercial kitchen setting as a chef or cook - essentialExperience in preparing and cooking meals within an Aged Care environment will be highly regardedExperience in preparing and cooking Australian Cuisine will be highly regardedExperience in preparing modified meals or be willing to learnBe flexible and able to commit to a range of shifts including weekendsUnderstand safe food handling principles & how to create a safe working environmentValue teamwork but also be able to work independently and show initiativeFollow all cleaning guidelines & schedules for all equipment & working surfacesDemonstrated understanding of safe manual handling and standard precautions.Have strong verbal and written communication skillsWhat are the benefits of working with HammondCare?
