Location: Inverell NSWCasual OpportunitySalary Packaging BenefitsWe are seeking an experienced Cook to join our team at our Inverell Facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals for our elderly residents in a compassionate, efficient, and safe manner.
Key Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and cook nutritious meals for our residents, ensuring dietary requirements are met.Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, including storage and handling of food, utensils, and equipment.Develop and maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with other staff members.Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as necessary.Assist with seasonal menu planning.About you: You will have at least 2 years' experience in a similar role. While previous experience working in a Healthcare setting is desirable, it is not a strict requirement for this role.
Essential: Proven experience in a similar environment.Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.Demonstrated ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure.2 Recent Managerial Referees.Police Clearance – we run one for you for free!Compassionate and patient with a positive attitude.Advantage: Qualifications within the hospitality industry.Safe Food Handling Training.Chemical Handling certificate.Previous experience working in the aged care or health sectors.The Company: McLean Care is a well-respected provider of the highest quality Community, Retirement, and Aged Care Lifestyle services.McLean Care is a non-for-profit, ethical organisation that recognises the importance of providing person-centred care across all our divisions.What's in it for you?
