We are Jackson Dodds – a cafe in Preston.
We are looking for a full-time experienced cook Key Responsibilities: • Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes according to our menu, adhering to recipes, portioning, cooking, and waste control guidelines.
• Assist in menu planning, food ordering, and inventory management.
• Ensuring quality of ingredients • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team and support a positive workplace culture.
• Stay updated on industry trends and continually improve culinary skills.
Requirements: • At least 2 years of relevant work experience as a Cook • Proven knowledge of food safety, handling, and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
• Completion of relevant qualifications or equivalent practical experience.
Desirable Qualifications: • Must at least have Certificate III • Previous experience working in Australia or with Australian food standards (a plus).
Salary is between $73000 and $75000
