The Food and Linen Services at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Cook to join their team on a temporary basis.
Your opportunity Provide an effective and efficient Food Service whilst always adhering to organisational standards, policies and procedures.The purpose of this position is to provide an effective and efficient catering service through the production and provision of quality food menu items, for a variety of clients, allergies and dietary requirements.About the Team The Mackay Base Hospital provides a comprehensive healthcare environment that has been designed with a patient-friendly approach to layout and location of services.
Food Services plays an important role in the provision of a 7-day week service supporting the delivery of quality and cost-effective health service through the provision of nutritional meals to patients.
About our Hospital and Health Service Mackay Hospital and Health Service has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff.
The district covers an area of approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
