Little Stars (Deeside) is looking for a part-time nursery cook, with enthusiasm, energy and commitment to be part of our exceptional staff team.
The position is for Mondays and Thursdays (8:30 - 6pm); however, the successful candidate must be flexible to cover holidays between the head cook throughout the year.
Full training will be given prior to starting; however, training days will be on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays alongside the head cook.
The successful candidate must be able to:
Show initiative, drive, and passion being part of the kitchen operation Use excellent attention to detail to deliver high standards with food and ensure children's individual allergy requirements are met Ensure consistently impeccable standards of Food Hygiene and Health and Safety Have good organisational skills Maintain excellent record keeping Exhibit good time keeping Demonstrate good attendance Work well with others Possess good communication skills Take ownership of own work and areas of responsibility Liaise with and follow instructions set by the nursery manager and head cook Previous cooking experience and food hygiene knowledge is desirable.
An enhanced DBS check will be carried out prior to starting.
