Next Gen Talent: Company:  INDIAN CHEF NT PTY LTD t/a INDIAN CHEF RESTAURANT & TAKE AWAY Position:  Cook (Full Time) Location:  Shop 9, 45 Gregory Terrace, Alice Spring NT 0870 Salary:  AUD 73,500 + 11.5% Superannuation Company Details: Our client, INDIAN CHEF NT PTY LTD operating a restaurant in Alice Spring, NT is looking to fill full-time position for qualified and skilled Cook.

The restaurant is a highly regarded venue for both its food and welcoming hospitality in a vibrant atmosphere with a typical Indian sense of family.
Position Overview: The employer is looking for experienced and motivated persons who are qualified as a Cook with specialization in Indian Cuisine North Indian and South India as well as Seafood.
This role is very much hands-on, requiring attention to detail and a positive work attitude.
To be successful in this position, you will need to have relevant work experience and trade qualifications, you must have a genuine interest in the hospitality industry.
The successful applicant must comply with all WHS, Food Safety and HACCP requirements.
Minimum Requirements: Certificate II or III in commercial Cookery with at least 2 years' experience Key Responsibilities: Prepare a wide range of meals from the menu with a focus on Indian cuisine Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food before use Contribute to improving the menu list, kitchen facility, and business of the restaurant Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards and food preparation checklist Prepare fish, meat and non-vegetarian dishes and salads Undertake portion control practices, arrange, and garnish food according to the creative ethos of the kitchen Store food in temperature-controlled facilities Provide input in the creation of seasonal menus and new recipes Season and cook food according to recipes or your own experience and knowledge Help with stock management including, ordering, rotation, and wastage control Ensure wastage is kept to a minimum Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen Skills and Personal Attributes: •Skilled in preparing, seasoning, and cooking food according to recipes •Understanding of food safety and OHS requirements •In depth knowledge of Indian Cuisine •Be able to work under pressure in a busy kitchen •Be a motivated individual who has a passion for cooking How to Apply: To apply for this position, please email your resume to  ******.
