Who are we looking for?We are after an experienced Cooks to work at our aged care facilities to utilise your creativity and passion for food to deliver outstanding meals for our residents that are nutritious and delicious.
The position of Cook in our Aged care sites will give you lots of variety and job satisfaction, as you look after the nutritional needs and health of our residents. This role also leads and support our hospitality team to assist in meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
What can you expect to be doing?Prepare enjoyable, nutritious meals for our residents on their individual requirements or modified dietLiaise with the staff at the centre for feedback on how meals were received and for any updates to dietary requirements.Use initiative, be organised and flexible to meet food service needs, including promotion of healthy eating practices.Lead and assist the hospitality team in meal preparation and following food handling practicesMaintain a clean and safe workspace to a high-standard.Provide prompt courteous service and act in a professional manner at all times when dealing with residents, families, team, and colleagues.What do you need to bring?Certificate III in Commercial Cookery desirableExperience working in an aged care environmentProven ability to work positively and productively to prepare and deliver quality, nutritious, flavoursome meals that meet legislative, regulatory and dietary requirements.Demonstrated understanding of food hygiene practices.Ability to develop a strong, cohesive work team.Exceptional customer service skills and ability to interact with our residents in a friendly manner.Proven ability to liaise with suppliers and order supplies for the kitchen within budget.Who is AnglicareSA?As one of SA's largest social services provider, AnglicareSA makes a positive difference to the lives of more than 50,000 people each year.
