El Publico is a busy modern Mexican restaurant. We are passionate about Mexican food and culture. We require an experienced and fully qualified Chef de Partie for immediate start.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Role Participate in food preparation for service, in accordance with accepted standards of quality. Ensure the overall cleanliness and the health and safety aspects of the kitchen are maintained at all times. Responsible for proper storage, labelling and use of all food supplies to prevent unnecessary wastage and to maintain cost control. Optimize food quality and customer satisfaction. Training and development of new and existing kitchen employees. Work closely with the Head Chef to ensure kitchen is running smoothly and efficiently. Assist the Head Chef with Menu planning, inventory control, scheduling, ordering of kitchen supplies. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to establish priorities and work independently as well as part of a team. Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems and customer complaints in a professional and tactful manner. Credentials & Experience Fully qualified chef. At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications. The right to work permanently in Australia. Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
