Cook/Chef

The Butter Chicken House Indian Restaurant is seeking a full-time cook/chef.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in an Indian kitchen, possess strong teamwork and communication skills, and be able to prepare a variety of Indian cuisines.
Responsibilities:Develop and execute menu for Indian curries, specifically North Indian/Tandoori dishes (veg/vegan).Manage inventory, order stock, and oversee the quality and freshness of stock.Cook food using various utensils, ovens, or grills.Store food in temperature-controlled facilities.Manage, instruct, and train kitchen staff to help deliver the menu efficiently.Set up and monitor temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment.Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas for cleanliness and functionality.Order and maintain inventory of food supplies.Check the quality of food ingredients.Coordinate end-to-end kitchen operations during service and prep time.Handle rostering and kitchen staff management.Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served.Portion food, place it on plates, and add gravies, sauces, and garnishes.Maintain the kitchen's cleanliness and hygiene as per Australian standards.Job Type:Full-time
