About Us:
We are a well-established restaurant offering casual and fine dining experiences, with a focus on delivering quality Italian-inspired dishes. We are seeking a skilled Cook/Chef to join our team on a casual or part-time basis. This role can be based at our venue in Parkdale or Malvern, offering flexibility to suit your schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, with an emphasis on Italian cuisine, maintaining the highest quality standards. Assist in the creation of menus and special dishes as required. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations. Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and smooth service. Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering ingredients when necessary. Ensure proper handling and storage of food items. Contribute to the overall dining experience by working closely with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service. Requirements:
A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a kitchen. Experience or a strong interest in Italian cuisine is highly preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently. Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices. Flexibility to work casual or part-time hours, with the possibility to work across multiple venues. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Job Types: Part-time, Casual
