The core responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
Collecting environmental and sustainability data and reporting accurately, on-time and in compliance with regulatory requirements. Supporting operations and projects in relation to environment, sustainability, contaminated site and waste management matters. Maintaining the environmental management system. Undertaking audits, inspections and incident investigations as required. Representing the company in various stakeholder external forums such as Kwinana Industries Council. Engaging and interacting with external stakeholders including regulators, neighbouring businesses, and community forums. Coordinating programs for site remediation and groundwater management. As the successful candidate, you will be involved in the development and implementation of environmental management plans, lead environmental and sustainability activities, and coordinate site environmental monitoring and remediation programs.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who has:
Tertiary qualifications in Chemistry, Environmental Science or similar. A minimum of 5 years environmental experience, preferably within heavy industry. Able to effectively communicate across all levels of the organisation, with well-developed verbal and written communication skills. Ability to influence and coach. High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
