Your new company
Our client is a non-for-profit charity established in 1973.
Yumba-Meta Limited (YML) provides secure and affordable accommodation options and culturally appropriate support services to vulnerable people, particularly First Nations people.
YML's primary function is to support people to access appropriate housing and to link in with the broader service system to address their housing, health, social and emotional needs in a culturally appropriate manner to have equality and thrive into the future.

Your new role
Reporting to the CEO, The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is central to providing strategic leadership for the organisation and overseeing Yumba-Meta Ltd's ongoing operations.
The role will ensure operational excellence and integration across programs, finance, people and culture, marketing and communications and IT and all other operational functions as well as explore avenues for increased revenue generation.
The position will ensure that internal and external accountabilities relating to the organisation's funding and statutory bodies are timely and of high standard.
Being a part of the executive team, this role will also provide broader opportunities within the organisation to contribute to initiatives aimed at strengthening YML's capability to improve life outcomes for First Nations people and other vulnerable groups.

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in leading and strategically guiding a diverse team to achieve key objectives.
As the successful candidate, you will possess robust leadership capabilities, coupled with excellent internal and external stakeholder engagement skills.
A track record of demonstrated success in similar roles would be highly advantageous.
