Role Overview: We are seeking a proactive and organised Conveyancing Clerk or Property Lawyer to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing your own conveyancing files autonomously from start to finish, providing high-quality client service, and working on a variety of property-related matters across residential, commercial, and rural sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

File Management: Run your own conveyancing files autonomously from start to finish, including managing all aspects of the transaction.
Client Interaction: Deal directly with clients both via phone and in person, ensuring excellent service and clear communication throughout the process.
Legal Documents: Draft and collate Contracts of Sale and Section 32 Vendor Statements.
Property Transactions: Manage files for residential, commercial, industrial, and rural properties, including sale and purchase, off-the-plan transactions, subdivisions, and commercial property matters.
PEXA and Legal Software: Utilise PEXA for settlements and lodging registrations, and manage files through LEAP legal software.
Registration: Manage and lodge registration of plans of subdivisions, mortgages, and caveats.
Support & Collaboration: Assist the supervising solicitor with property-related matters and take instructions, as well as open files and draft invoices.

Ideal Candidate: We are looking for an individual with a minimum of 3 years of conveyancing experience in Melbourne, who can manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision. Your strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and ability to work to deadlines will be key to your success in this role.
Key Attributes and Qualifications:

Experience: At least 3 years of experience in conveyancing and property law, with a demonstrated ability to run your own files.
Client Service: Exceptional client service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and maintain strong client relationships.
Organisational Skills: Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and handle competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Team Player: A collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively within a team while managing your own caseload.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with eContracts, PEXA, Duties Online, and legal software LEAP.
Proactive Approach: Enthusiastic, positive, and proactive, with a strong desire to grow and contribute to the success of the team.
