We currently have an opportunity for a motivated and talented Controls Engineer to join our Engineering Group.
This position plays a leading role in the deployment of electrical control systems.
This includes design, documentation, testing, and commissioning of materials handling automation hardware and PLC software.
The position also provides substantial opportunities to travel across a number of our customer locations in order to fulfill the work requirements.

Development of functional specifications Conformance to OHS&E standards in the design and execution of all work Preparation of electrical schematic drawings, PLC programs and configuration of operator interfaces Configuration of SCADA Preparation of manufacturing and installation specifications Planning and supervision of major controls installations Managing the procurement of parts, the manufacture of cabinets, and the electrical installation Controls project cost control Testing and commissioning on customer sites Preparation of test plans and operator & technical manuals Handing over projects to our Customer Service team What We Are Looking For: Key skills, qualifications and attributes include:
Degree qualified in an Engineering or scientific discipline Ideal role for those with experience in electrical design and installation Sound knowledge of requirements of AS3000 & AS4024.1 Experience in machine control, safety, and functional safety principles Experience in SCADAs like ICONICS, CITEC and WINCC Knowledge of materials handling system controls Experience in writing of technical documentation Knowledge of configuration, programming and commissioning of PLCs (Siemens S7 preferred), variable speed drives, barcode scanners and safety devices Willingness to travel during the installation and commissioning phase of a project within Australia and occasionally overseas for extensive periods Ability to work in a project-based environment as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team If you have the skills and experience required and are looking to further your career in a dynamic and innovative organisation, please click on the Apply button and submit your application.
