Located 15 kilometres south-west of Singleton in the beautiful Hunter Valley region of New South Wales, MTW relies on both draglines and load haul systems as the current and preferred mining method. Job Tasks and Responsibilities Reporting to the CHPP Electrical Superintendent, you will be a part of a dynamic and motivated team. This role is responsible for planning and executing regular maintenance, diagnosing and resolving issues, performing upgrades on PLC and SCADA systems, and managing instrumentation equipment within the CHPP department. As part of the CHPP team, this role contributes to achieving the plan-on-a-page targets and fostering an inclusive safety culture that aligns with Yancoal - Our Way. Additionally, the role will require you to:
Plan predictive maintenance tasks, including:Identifying steps required for safe and effective execution. Determining resource, equipment, parts, and consumable needs. Pre-plan to ensure all planned and scheduled jobs are completed on time. Manage breakdown repairs and rectification work related to the PCN, including instrumentation. Oversee planned and scheduled jobs, providing assistance and direction to contractors before they begin work on site. Calibration of Electrical Instruments. Diagnose and rectify problems with Instrumentation Loops Ability to Diagnose and rectify issues with SCADA and PLCs, Data Networks and Reporting Systems Experience with Rockwell PLC Programming software Ability to calibrate Belt Weighers Ability to create reports and CERs Skills and Experience The successful candidate will display the Yancoal behaviours in everyday practice and foster a 'One Team' culture. Along with promoting and driving the Yancoal values of People, Safety, Innovation, Integrity and Excellence. To be successful in the role you will also display the following skills and attributes:
Qualified Electrical Instrumentation trade skills and or appropriate technical qualifications; Sound knowledge of PLC, SCADA, Data Networks and Reporting Systems; Sound knowledge of instrumentation, including maintenance and calibration activities Experience reading and interpreting Electrical Schematics Strong time management skills and experience managing multiple conflicting priorities; Drive and focus on continuous improvement; High level of attention to detail; Well-developed written and verbal communication skills; Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment; The ability to build rapport and maintain relationships is crucial to the role, along with excellent multi-tasking skills, the ability to prioritise and a practical approach.
