Job Description Acciona is seeking a Control System and Instrumentation (C&I) Engineer for the Water Business division based in Perth. This role will report to the Control Systems & Instrumentation Lead and will provide support for the design and specification of general instrumentation, analysers, pneumatics and DCS based control system. The role will provide C&I engineering and design support to seawater desalination projects seamlessly and with high quality.
The Project The Alkimos SeaWater Alliance project will deliver WA's next major water source - A new seawater desalination plant at Alkimos. At completion of stage 1 the plant will supply up to 50 billion litres of clean, safe drinking water to millions of Western Australians each year.
The project includes the design, construction, operation and maintenance of the plant with first production in 2028. Works include marine works and tunnels, seawater intake system, a seawater reverse osmosis desalination plant, groundwater system, drinking water storage and pump system, supported by civil, electrical and bulk earthworks.
Responsibilities Preparation of scope of services and technical documentation for DCS, pneumatics, analysers (pH, conductivity, ORP, etc.) and instrumentation (flow, pressure, etc.).Proposal preparation and cost estimates for instrumentation, pneumatics, analysers and control system (DCS).Developing I&C schedules (cable, instruments, I/O etc.)Location/arrangement of DCS and other control cabinets and instrumentation within plant.Review supplier documentation to ensure project specification are satisfied.Required Skills and Competencies Bachelor's in engineering (Industrial or Civil preferred)Experience in design, develop and implement plant control system and instrumentation design solutions for medium/large size projectsExperience in cable termination drawings and cable routing design.Demonstrated experience and understanding of Australian and International standards (AS, IEC, ISO, ASME, etc.)A very proactive profile that can be adapt to the different needs during project design phase.What we offer
