YOUR NEW ROLEThe purpose of the role is to effectively utilise all security related systems to proactively monitor the Sydney Opera House precinct for early threat detection in order to allow for the provision of a safe and secure physical environment. Furthermore, the role is responsible for assisting with the coordination of the appropriate response to all security, fire, medical and emergency incidents that may occur onsite.
ARE YOU THE ONE?We are looking for someone with:
Demonstrated operational experience within a security control room environment within a high profile or high public visitation site.Demonstrated experience utilising a range of security related systems particular in regard to Video Management Systems and Electronic Access Control.Thorough understanding of the Workplace Surveillance Act 2005, along with all the relevant laws and regulations surrounding the operations of CCTV and thorough understanding of CCTV policies within a large organisation.Current Class 1 AC Security License, minimum Certificate III in Security Operations with a Registered Training Organisation (or able to obtain within 12 months of start date), a Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate and a Senior First Aid Certificate.Display a high level of attention to detail and the ability to resolve problems requiring interpretation and assessment of complex situations.Display excellent verbal and written communication skills with intermediate to advanced computer skills, as well as strong administrative and report writing skills.A valid NSW Working with Children Clearance (WWCC). All SOH have a responsibility to recognize and respond to safety, welfare or well-being concerns for children and young people.
