JOB TITLE : CONTROL ROOM OPERATOR
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES : Responsible for monitoring and operating all equipment within the Central Control Room. Manage operations and maintenance work activity safely, in accordance with stated requirements and control of work system and provide accurate reporting and recording of work activity and findings. Work in compliance with the Safety Case and all relevant Conventions, Acts, Regulations, Standards, Codes of Practice, industrial agreements and Company directives, policies, plans, objectives, procedures, and methods. Respond to Facility alarms and carry out emergency duties in accordance with the Facility Emergency Response Plan or as directed. Report hazards, accidents, incidents, near misses (dangerous occurrences) to the Offshore Installation Manager in accordance with the Safety Management System and propose corrective actions. Participate in Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Toolbox Meetings, HAZID and Formal Safety Assessment (FSA) workshops, Facility safety meetings, audits and incident investigations as required. Promote safety awareness and utilise the outcomes of JHAs and Toolbox Meetings when carrying out duties onboard the Facility. Develop an understanding of the Facility Safety Case and knowledge of applicable Safety Management System (SMS) procedures. Act as an Emergency Response Team member as required. To demonstrate competence and be formally authorised to fulfil any and all of the roles in the permit-to-work (PTW) system as Issuing Authority, Isolating Authority or Performing Authority while maintenance or modification work is conducted. Monitoring and controlling the remote operation of the subsea wells and production systems, including, performing emergency corrective action as required. Start up, Operate, Monitor and Shut Down Process and Utility Systems including the operation of equipment to facilitate the isolation, deisolation, draining, flushing, purging and venting of systems required in the Decommissioning phase of the operation. Monitor, maintain and optimise process parameters (Level, flow, temperature, pressure etc) within operating requirements during the above decommissioning operation. Maintain discharge water quality within current legislative requirements. Monitor and operate control panels, safety and emergency shutdown devices, Fire and Gas Systems. Application and removal of overrides and inhibits as per approved procedures, ensuring that all required authorisations are in place. Maintain appropriate records and documents and submit reports as required. Work effectively in a team environment to monitor, log, resolve, and escalate operational and safety issues. Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations. Carry out the operation of the FPSO from the control room to requirements e.g. conduct systematic inspections to ensure reliable operation and identify and investigate any abnormalities or plant problems and rectify where possible or raise defect work orders in the maintenance management system as required. Ensure all safety and environmental protection systems and procedures are properly and rigorously used. Respond to operational and maintenance requirements of asset area by analysing, diagnosing and using professional judgement. Engage with peers to share knowledge and ensure best practice is applied. Develop / review SOP's and TOP's as required. Reports to the Operations Supervisor. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS : Hydrocarbon processing operations experience worked as CRO and appropriate mix of operational, and supervisory experience. Good level of troubleshooting and operations knowledge including interpretation of P&IDs and C&E charts. Extensive knowledge of offshore FPSO operations, including Production, Maintenance and Engineering. #J-18808-Ljbffr
