Your Impact An exciting opportunity has been made available for a Controls & Automation Engineer at our Tullamarine site, reporting to the Reliability Manager.
We are seeking an engineering professional educated or skilled in Automation Technology, Electrical Design, and Controls Integration.
As an on-site technical expert, you will work with a variety of stakeholders to optimise Control & Automation systems across the site.
Key Responsibilities Analyse plant processes, design, and implement improvements.Support and coach on-site Electricians when troubleshooting.Develop and implement solutions to deliver automation to improve production efficiency.Manage and plan end of life to equipment level.Develop and implement solutions to deliver energy/water savings.Maintenance of PLC and SCADA systems (Allan Bradley / Siemens).Manage electrical engineering projects and ensure projects are adequately planned by developing technical specifications, job instructions/procedures, material and services requirements, labour and skill requirements, tools and equipment requirements, industrial notifications, environmental clearances, permits, and safety management plans.About You To support the team on-site and act as a subject matter expert, you may be an Engineer or an experienced Electrician.
To thrive in this position, you will need:
Electrical Engineering Degree or trade qualified.FMCG or Food & Beverages experience would be highly regarded.Practical experience with PLC systems and SCADA systems, particularly Allan Bradley and Siemens.Communication and leadership skills combined with the ability to provide advanced technical solutions and problem-solving.Experience in an engineering role with system design, implementation, and commissioning.Strong cause-effect analytical abilities to solve problems.Ability to work as part of a professional, skilled, and flexible team.Excellent communication and multitasking skills.Knowledge of instrumentation and machine safety.Proficiency in the documentation of processes.Asahi Beverages is a leading multi-beverage organisation with a rich and varied history.
