Minara Resources has an opportunity for an experienced Contracts Specialist - Services to join our established and dedicated team.

The Role
The successful person will become a member of a small hardworking and committed team responsible for identifying and creating opportunities for cost reduction and value adding in all agreements entered into on behalf of Murrin Murrin Operations Pty Ltd (MMO) for the provision of services. You will ensure cost-effective, professional, and ethical standards are maintained in accordance with Company policies and procedures when conducting business with contractors and suppliers, including EPCM contractors. You will be responsible for end-to-end negotiation and coordination of services across our remote nickel, cobalt mining and refining operations.
You will be responsible for:
Liaising with Contracts Superintendent – Projects & Services, Senior Contract Specialist – Services, other team members, and internal customers to ensure the agreed level of service is maintained. Developing, implementing, and managing contracting strategies for operational requirements. Conducting tendering and adjudication processes. Preparing recommendations to award Agreements. Leading negotiations with preferred suppliers. Resolving disputes/claims and preparing deeds of settlement and release. Ensuring contract performance is maintained and taking action to rectify when required. Cost reduction and/or service optimisation through effective Agreement management. Placement of Purchase Orders. Managing a broad portfolio of service Agreements including high-value Agreements. A typical portfolio consists of Agreements spanning several functional areas, including (but not limited to): Mechanical Maintenance (Labour Hire, Industrial Cleaning, Rubber Lining, etc.) Electrical Maintenance (Labour Hire, Testing/Tagging, Design, Control Systems, etc.) Mining (HME, Drilling, Explosive Services, etc.); Information Technology (Software Licences, Programming, Consulting, e-Commerce, etc.) Village Services (Catering/Cleaning, Telecommunications, IT Infrastructure, etc.) Technical Services (Metallurgical Services, Laboratory Services, Assay Sampling, etc.) Environmental (Hydrogeological Consulting, Rehabilitation Services, etc.) Equipment Hire (Bus Hire, Mining Fleet, Tank Hire, Crane Hire, etc.) About You
This role would suit a motivated contracts specialist who is results-driven and customer service focused.
You will also have:
A minimum of 3 years in a substantive Contracts Specialist role. An understanding of contract law. Solid experience in negotiations and managing Agreements (preferably within Mining, Oil & Gas, or other capital-intensive industries). Contract documentation preparation and ongoing management. A proven track record in the development of Service Agreements (including planning, tendering, adjudication, negotiation, award, and ongoing contract management). Sound computer skills with the ability to use integrated management and supply systems (Oracle) and Microsoft applications. What We Offer
