The Role
The successful person will become a member of a hardworking and committed team who are responsible forend-to-end negotiation and coordination of supply contracts and purchase orders for commodities across our remote nickel and cobalt mining and refining operations.
You will be responsible for:
Tendering, negotiation, analysis, award and management of Blanket Purchasing Agreements and Purchase Orders Compiling agreement documentation, recommendations for award and managing variations Managing supplier performance via KPI reporting, analysis and required corrective action Undertaking market intelligence to identify preferred suppliers of required commodities Provision of support to internal stakeholders in relation to the urgent and timely supply of goods to meet operational requirements About You
This role would suit a suitably experienced contracts specialist looking to expand their knowledge across our complex operations.
You will also have:
Tertiary qualifications in Commerce/Business and/or Supply Chain Management (preferred) Past experience in a similar role and industry with knowledge of mechanical and pressure flow equipment and associated parts (Desirable) Practiced negotiating skills with knowledge of Blanket Purchasing Agreements and of commercial and common law; Proven contribution to the implementation of cost savings initiatives; and Proficient with business integrated supply systems (e.g. Oracle, SAP) including the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
