Contracts Specialist

I am currently recruiting for a Contract Specialist based near Townsville.
Your new company
Hays is excited to partner with a mid-tier Gold Producer who is seeking a Contracts Specialist on a permanent, full-time basis. This role is offered on a DIDO or Residential basis and is suitable for someone who is looking to make a difference in an organisation that contributes significantly to the local community.
Your new role
As the Contract Specialist, you will directly report to the Contracts Superintendent. You will manage strategic sourcing strategies and contract management.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will require:
Extensive experience in delivering strategic sourcing and category management initiatives. Expertise in drafting, negotiating and executing contracts. Experience in the mining sector is preferable. Use market and economic data sources to support cost modelling and strategy development. Prepare recommendation/business case documents for senior management, board approvals for award of contracts. Current 'C' Class Driver's Licence. What you'll get in return
