We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Contracts Specialist to play a pivotal role in the end-to-end contract management process across the Group. This critical position involves both pre/post-tender responsibilities, including contract reviews, negotiations, and ensuring compliance with Group policies and guidelines.
In collaboration with the Group Manager Contracts the Contracts Specialist is responsible for overseeing all aspects of assigned commercial contracts. This includes contract compliance, customer relationship management, negotiation, and strategy development for contract extensions and the establishment of new contracts. The role will also work closely with others across the team to ensure effective contract management.
Key Responsibilities Work in collaboration with others across the team and businessPrepare, evaluate, and manage tenders and contracts, including clarifications, negotiations, drafting, and post-award requirements, ensuring timely and effective resolutionFoster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholdersPrepare and present contract award recommendations to senior executives and directorsAchieve success in negotiations, including cost savings, dispute resolution, and relationship management with stakeholdersApply contract law to manage risksDevelop solutions to improve Group outcomes.About You Strong commercial acumen, communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent time management an ability to handle conflicting prioritiesDemonstrated leadership and experience in a similar role, preferably within the mining industry (10+ years)Proven negotiation and contract resolution skillsStrong drafting, analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExperience in price reviews and adjustmentsOutstanding stakeholder engagement and relationship managementHighly organised and enthusiastic team playerExperience running complex tendersYour Motivation We are looking for people who want to make a difference, love to challenge themselves and others to do better and pursue solutions with intent.
