About the role:
Reporting to our General Manager Plant, Logistics & Property, the Contracts & Purchasing Lead will be accountable for implementing contracting and purchasing strategies that enable excellence in Plant, Logistics & Property and optimisation of operational spend.
Key deliverables include input into category planning and execution, contract management and oversight for the processing of annual operations expenditure.
Options to base from Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne or Adelaide head offices; we also offer a flexible work atmosphere splitting your time in the office and work from home.
What you'll be doing:
Forecast needs and requirements and execution of delivery strategies working with Category Managers across the function. Pursue optimal commercial terms ensuring appropriate contractual agreements are in place. Ensure supplier contracts are being managed in accordance with terms that achieve outcomes and assist with resolution of contractual disagreements or uncertainties. Monitor and review supplier KPIs. Collaboration with Category and Supply relationship teams to ensure supplier relationships are managed to drive operational, commercial and innovative benefits. Develop effective delivery strategies with the goal of achieving Ventia's sustainability targets. About you:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in business / commercial / similar field or demonstrated experience. Well-developed experience in contracts, purchasing processes, systems and delivery that drive operational excellence. Strategic and driven decision maker that is commercially astute, able to derive decisions based on robust data and analytics. Demonstrated experience developing optimisation to meet business needs. People focused, able to build strong collaborative relationships, internally and externally with stakeholders at all levels. About Ventia:
