About the role We are seeking an experienced Contracts Officer to play a pivotal role in the end-to-end tender and contract management process across the Group.
The position involves end-to-end tender responsibilities, including contract reviews, negotiations, and compliance with Group policies and guidelines.
The Contracts Officer is responsible for overseeing all aspects of assigned commercial contracts.
This includes contract compliance, supplier relationship management, negotiation, and strategy development for contract extensions and the establishment of new contracts.
The role will also work closely with others within the team to facilitate effective contract management.
Key responsibilities Work in collaboration with others across the team and business Prepare, evaluate, and manage tenders and contracts, including clarifications, negotiations, drafting, and post-award requirements, in a timely and effective manner Foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders Prepare and present contract award recommendations to senior leadership team and the Board Achieve success in negotiations, including cost savings, dispute resolution, and relationship management with stakeholders About you Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Procurement or Law Strong commercial acumen, excellent interpersonal skills, and exceptional written and verbal communication abilities Excellent time management and ability to manage conflicting priorities, completing multiple tasks on time Demonstrated experience in a similar role, preferably in the mining industry (5+ years) Strong drafting, analytical and problem-solving abilities Experience in price review mechanisms and price adjustments Proven negotiation and contract resolution skills Outstanding stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills across all levels of the business Highly organised and enthusiastic team player Your Motivation You will be looking to make a difference, challenge yourself and others to do better and pursue solutions with intent.
