The roleMake a difference to this energetic group, bringing your competence to coordinate deadlines while ensuring the completion of projects adheres strictly to the proposed time frame and industry standards. You thrive championing schedules for projects, overseeing and managing construction from the stage of conception to the building phase.
For this role, duties will include:
Determine and evaluate costs of projects.Prepare a detailed and accurate budget outlining both soft and hard costs.Find solutions and formulate ways to reduce budget and costs.Manage the responsibility of supporting, overseeing, and working collaboratively with staff in day-to-day management.Ensure compliance with direct agreement conditions and incorporate relevant terms into subcontract agreements.Prepare and negotiate progress claims, variations, extensions of time, and subcontractor payments.Provide commercial guidance during tender negotiations, including risk assessment and recommendations.Champion and train teams in contract management, financial systems, and compliance procedures.Maintain effective interaction with clients, subcontractors, and project teams to manage expectations and resolve issues.Implement best company practices while ensuring alignment with legislation, industry standards, and project requirements.Monitor and control WHSEQ while giving direction and mitigating risk by providing improvement when necessary.Attend construction meetings, contribute by discussing budgets, plans, and goals, and communicate with staff and supervisors.Create agendas for meetings and prepare necessary documents, such as schedules and logs.Showcase plans to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity in the process of discharging job duties.Create and maintain healthy relationships with suppliers and customers.Research, gather, and present information to clients and/or stakeholders regarding contracts.Oversee and/or manage the ordering of materials and supplies.The essentialsA well-developed verbal and written communication skill.Technical understanding of construction, building codes, trade sequencing, and best construction practices.Outstanding problem-solving skills, with a strong sense of judgment to ensure positive outcomes with complex and detailed projects.A degree in civil engineering, construction management, law, or engineering.Technical understanding of construction principles, with a strong sense of judgment, profound budgeting experience, project control, negotiation skills, computer competency, and time management.To apply for this role, please email your updated resume to ****** or just click the apply link.
