Contracts And Procurement Lead

Location : Shepperton
4 days working from home, 1 day at the office (accommodation paid for)
The council has had someone on leave, so you will be brought in on a 6 month contract with the option for permanent afterwards.


Hourly rate of pay $50-$70 per hour


POSITION OBJECTIVES:
To lead organisational compliance and continuous improvement to Council's Procurement and Contract Management Framework, from the strategic sourcing of goods, services,
construction and works through to final evaluation of contracts and appointment of contractors
to ensure council meets its legislative obligations and achieves best value for its expenditure.


Responsibilities

Lead the Procurement and Accounts Payable teams to deliver timely and high-quality services and outcomes.

Provide education and guidance to staff to ensure compliance with budget, governance and compliance requirements relating to contracts, procurement and accounts payable.

Establish a set of Key Performance Indicators and reporting regime that monitor council's overall performance against the procurement and contract management framework as well
as individual contracts.

Advise the Director on issues relating to achievement of short and long term program You will need:



Demonstrated experience in procurement and contract management. Demonstrated experience in embedding frameworks and organisational policies in a diverse organisation. Ability to communicate effectively with a wide audience. Supervision and management of staff. Valid National Police Check. Desirable

Experience working in the local government sector. Knowledge of the Technology One OneCouncil, eProcure and Vendor Planel software solutions. Please apply, send me a cv to or call on
