Reporting to the Principal Contracts within the Strategic Sourcing Team, you will support the development and delivery of contract packages and sourcing strategies, all aimed at achieving the best possible outcomes across Roy Hill and the broader Hancock group.Supporting a high-value, business-critical category, you will optimise the procurement process to improve efficiencies, negotiate better contracts, build stronger relationships and identify opportunities for consolidation, innovation and cost savings. Leveraging market analysis, trends, and best practices, you will identify ongoing suppliers and sourcing opportunities and partner with key stakeholders to develop tailored strategies and internal demand patterns.Join us at Roy Hill and contribute to a team that values innovation, efficiency, and strategic thinking. Be a part of a company committed to excellence and continuous improvement in procurement and supply chain management.Duties:Lead the management of contracts, focusing on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and contractor performance measurement, analysis, and improvementUndertake end-to-end strategic sourcing in line with the business requirements of category managementUse sound commercial judgment in applying contractual terms and conditionsProvide comprehensive contract life-cycle support, encompassing all contractual and commercial activities, and develop and implement well-defined category strategiesProvide commercial and contractual support across the business, ensuring value delivery through performance improvement, a Total Cost of Ownership focus, and effective contract managementBuild positive supplier relationships and identify opportunities for consolidation, innovation, and cost savingsUndertake appropriate market analysis to achieve best value in goods and servicesSupport cost reduction initiatives and security of supply of good and services for Roy Hill and the broader Hancock groupSkills and experienceProactive with a positive mindset towards problem-solving and the ability to develop strong working relationshipsSolutions focused with the ability to negotiate and influence positive outcomesCommercial/contracts and category management experienceExperience in the development and implementation of category strategies delivering value for businessTertiary qualifications in Commerce, Business, Construction Management, Economics, Quantity Surveying, Legal (Construction Law) or related disciplineAbout Roy HillRoy Hill is a world-class mining company, leading the way through innovative, integrated mining rail and port operations, to export iron ore safely and efficiently from West Australia's Pilbara region.We are a company where people matter.
