The project will deliver the missing link from Sydney's south to the wider Sydney motorway network making journeys easier, faster and safer. It will remove more than 2,000 trucks a day from surface roads and help return local streets to local communities.With works commenced in early 2022, the M6 Stage 1 project scope includes the construction of twin four-kilometre tunnels and associated works, linking the M8 Motorway at Arncliffe to President Avenue at Kogarah.The OpportunityWe currently looking for short-term Contracts Administrator/Senior Contracts Administrator to join the M6 Stage 1 Project. Given the short-term nature of the role, you may be engaged on a max-term or casual employment contract.Some of the role's key accountabilities include:Processing accruals and ensuring costs are committedAnalysis of cost to date and forecast cost to completeUpdates forecasts and cost to date figuresEvaluating and negotiating contractual claims with sub-contractorsProcessing sub-contractor payments in accordance with the Security of Payments Act, assessment of works completed, variations and back chargesManaging the procurement of suppliers, trades and servicesAbout YouSuccessful candidates will have the following:Relevant tertiary qualifications (engineering, commerce, accounting, business, law or associated discipline) and/or equivalent experienceExtensive demonstrated experience in a similar roleWritten and verbal communication skillsAnalytical, negotiation and interpersonal skillsThe successful candidate will be required to hold a current Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card or equivalent) and undergo a medical assessment (including drug and alcohol testing) prior to commencement.We value the unique perspectives and talents that our people bring to the construction industry and are committed to empowering and supporting their career growth.
