Based in Hobart, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Contracts Administrator/Manager to join a leading Contractor from the Building Services Industry in the important position of Contracts Administrator.
The primary function of the role will be to control, manage, monitor and report on the commercial aspects of a major project in Hobart. Further to this, there will be opportunities to work on other major projects around the country concurrently, when time permits. The Contracts Administrator is critical in ensuring that the commercial interests of your employer are protected and well managed, especially when dealing with Tier 1 Head Contractors.
Tertiary qualifications are preferred but not essential for this role. You must have at least 2 years Australian experience as a Contracts Administrator within a commercial construction or building related environment. Contracts can range in value up to $50 Million. Experience in the HVAC/Building Services Industry is preferred but not essential.
You are required to have a strong knowledge of contract law, risk, time bars etc and experience in making sure that your employers documentation is in place in accordance with your contract with the Head Contractor. Managing Relationships is key to your success, working in a firm but fair manner, to provide the "best outcome with the least aggressive path". A proven ability in Problem Identification and Solving is paramount to ensure that problems are identified early to provide early intervention and ultimately protection for your employer.
On a personal level you will be motivated to succeed with an ability to relate to all parties internally and externally on a project.
