Contracts Administrator - Construction Industry At Embelton, we supply and install timber flooring and engineering vibration isolation solutions to leading architects, commercial builders, acoustic consultants, designers, and more.
Based at our Head Office in Coburg, Embelton is currently looking for an experienced permanent full-time Contracts Administrator to join our supportive, fun, and friendly project team.
As the Contracts Administrator, you will be mainly responsible for the administration of projects to which you are allocated. You will ensure the proper and accurate administration of the project/s is delivered including financial tracking, reporting, procurement, document control, WHS, operation and maintenance manuals, and risk management is captured, updated, and shared as required.
Other key duties & responsibilities will include:
Coordinating the pre-construction phase including confirmation of project quantities utilizing estimating resources where appropriate. Review set outs, seam layouts, and detailing requirements. Preparation of working summary/matrix worksheet and material procurement. Establish project budget, allocate cost centres. Coordinate construction phase, document control, manage the project file. Forecasting and monthly budget reports, identify and implement changes based on identified risks and opportunities. Coordinate the completion phase by ensuring all variations have been captured and submitted prior to completion. Submission of final claim for payment and chasing any outstanding monies. Defects are completed, finalise project costs, and final analysis. Other tasks as requested by management and as per workflow sheet. To be successful for this role you will possess the following skills & capabilities:
3 years minimum prior experience in a Contract Administration or Project Management role. Solid experience in reading and understanding architectural drawings and detail. Understanding of WHS and other regulatory requirements. Intermediate to advanced level on Excel, reporting with a high-level numeracy skill. High attention to detail, and able to work to deadlines. Practical knowledge of common trade-specific items will be advantageous. Why work for us?
