About the Job About the role Are you passionate about ensuring top-notch quality and safety in major transport infrastructure projects? Join our dynamic Public Transport Authority (PTA) Project Delivery (PPD) Division as a Contracts Surveillance Officer - Radio Systems. In this pivotal role, you will conduct meticulous inspections, audits, and surveillance of contractors' radio communication works, both on-site and off-site, ensuring compliance with stringent contract conditions, public safety protocols, rail safety, and environmental standards. Your expertise will be crucial in reviewing construction plans, assessing work methodologies, overseeing safety plans, and reporting on daily progress. You'll play a key role in identifying and mitigating risks, ensuring the accuracy of infrastructure records, and participating in critical contractual discussions. About You! To excel in this role, you should possess: Extensive experience in the installation, testing, and commissioning of 4G LTE communication systems, including RAN, microwave transmission and antenna systems on monopoles. A strong understanding and application of procedures, codes of practice, and specifications for installing and commissioning communication systems. Demonstrable experience with RF and microwave testing. The ability to read and interpret technical construction and site installation drawings. Proficient verbal and written communication skills, capable of preparing technical and general reports using PC-based software. Skills in managing contractor relationships and obligations, with the ability to work independently and within a team, supervising work by consultants and contractors.
