Our expanding portfolio, development projects, and exploration prospects make Aeris an exciting, growing company.The RoleReporting to the Financial Controller, the Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for overseeing the financial reporting process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, managing month-end and year-end closing activities, preparing financial statements, conducting variance analysis, and supporting audits.Role responsibilities includeAssist with preparing accurate and timely Annual and Half Year financial reports in compliance with accounting standards.Preparation of the Annual and Half Year tax models, including tax reconciliation and tax asset register maintenance.Conduct detailed variance analysis to explain financial performance and budget deviations.Assist in preparing management reports, highlighting key financial metrics.Provide strategic financial insights to the Financial Controller.Assist with the month-end and year-end close process, including the preparation and review of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and accruals.We are looking for an experienced and qualified professional familiar with accounting standards, ASX and ASIC obligations and tax legislation. With a strong eye for detail and communication skills, you will be looking for opportunities to add value and be part of a team.
