About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Commercial Coordinator to join the team based in Jandakot, WA that holds a degree in business, law, engineering or quantity surveying. The primary purpose of this role is to facilitate and support the project by creating and maintaining strong relationships with customers, clients and suppliers when negotiating and managing commercial contracts.
Duties will include but are not limited to
Assist in organizational contract development and management activities and assist in enforcing organizational principles of integrity and compliance. Assist in evaluation and management of contract negotiations from tender submission to close out, extension or renewal as appropriate. Attend contract strategy meetings to identify issues and client requirements and obtain stakeholder input on timelines and deliverables. Ensure that contracts and proposals are correctly entered into organizational databases and securely maintained. Assist in establishing and/or maintaining customer and supplier relationships. Draft contractual provisions based on strategy discussions, senior management input, and organizational needs and expectations. Assure accuracy and appropriateness of contract text and attachments. Engage relevant stakeholders in negotiation decisions involving legal or regulatory requirements, contract standards and cost targets. Assist in reviewing the contractual performance of both parties to ensure compliance with terms and to identify conflicts or changes requiring resolution at contract renewal. Maintain deadlines on deliverables and communicate on an ongoing basis with business partners and internal clients about contractual issues. Communicate contract-related information to all stakeholders. Periodical review of Contracting Principles and managing compliance and audit actions. Ensure quality processes are nurtured and maintained, and ideas and innovations are encouraged and explored. Assist in the management of group insurance claims, certificates, and policy document management. Manage record keeping for all contract-related correspondence and documentation. Ensure gate papers are executed by all stakeholders. Maintain all folders on contract drive and all contract, supplier, and lease registers. Conduct random audits and assist in monitoring contract compliance with established procedures.
Requirements & Experience Needed
Degree in Business, Law, Engineering or Quantity Surveying Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role Excellent organizational and coordination skills Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines Exemplary communication skills written and verbal
