If you are entrepreneurial and a go getter, we want to hear from you.Responsibilities:Assisting in achieving cost operating efficiencies and customer satisfaction targets.Ensuring that all Transport & Logistics operations & contracts operate in a safe, compliant, productive and profitable manner.Assisting in the effective co-operation between all sections reporting to the State Contract Logistics Manager and other parts of the business.Responsibility for ensuring compliance with equipment operation including warehousing, storage, lifting and fleet (mobile) equipment.Seeking & implementing productivity improvements from all sectors of the operation.Liaising with Contract and other Operational managers to ensure customer service targets are being met and report to the State Contract Logistics Manager on any operational difficulties.About You:Experience in NHVAS and HML Compliance is a
must .Demonstrated ability in leading and coaching a team and achieving both personal and business goals.Strong ability in building rapport with internal and external stakeholders and clients.Transport fleet & warehousing operations and associated compliance requirements.Continuous Improvement Initiatives and their application.Cost control, analysis, attainment of sound productivity with KPI measurements and reporting.The management of transportation, warehousing & distribution contract models, development and practical applications.Critical thinking and decision making that support and deliver on company objectives.In addition to the above you will ideally have:Demonstrated experience as a senior operations manager in the transport & logistics industry.Demonstrated experience as an inspirational leader who has highly developed interpersonal, communication and presentation skills including effective engagement, negotiation and influencing ability.Strong computer skills with the ability to collate, interpret and analyse contract data.A go getter who takes a lead from the front approach and is wanting to grow within the business.Benefits of working with us:Here at K&S, we are committed to your ongoing growth & professional development.
