Kuehne + Nagel is looking for a dedicated Contract Logistics Operational Contract Manager to join our growing Contract Logistics Team.
Your RoleThis position is based in Melbourne's western suburbs, bringing your leadership expertise and skills to enhance both operational and customer excellence.
Your ResponsibilitiesManage, plan, organize, staff, and direct warehouse activities at the site ensuring that all material and equipment are available/maintained to support operations.Achieve key performance indicators (KPI) in the areas of cost management, productivity, customer service, and profit.Ensure teams deliver against their customer, site, and people key performance indicators (KPI).Assist with all activities relating to customer on-boarding, retention, and operational excellence; collaborating at a contract level.Drive productivity via engagement activities to create new initiatives focusing on continuous improvement, ensuring contracts meet or exceed productivity targets.Contribute information required for tenders/proposals to support closing of new business.Prepare and present all required customer updates.Prepare required P&L with supporting commentary related to financial/service variances.Train and develop the team to ensure robust succession planning.Liaise with internal support resources and external providers (carriers, freight forwarders, suppliers).Your Skills and ExperiencesA minimum of five years' experience in a local transport or 3PL organization.Proven leadership and team management skills.The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Strong work ethic and the ability to collaborate effectively.Solid understanding of safety processes and protocols.Good Reasons to JoinWe offer flexible working arrangements to our employees, including the ability to work from home and at multiple site locations, as well as flexibility in daily working hours.
