Your role at St John of God Health Care You will be responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive contract management framework.
This role is pivotal in enhancing the governance, training, reporting, compliance, and performance of both clinical and non-clinical contracts.
You will ensure that strategic contracts are performing against KPIs through rigorous monitoring, engagement with suppliers, and effective risk and strategy management.
The Position Lead the development of SJGHC's Contract Management Framework across all business areas of SJGHC.Manage, plan, develop and co-ordinate designated project(s) to ensure agreed objectives and deliverables are achieved on time and within budget in accordance with organisational objectives.Work with other key stakeholders within each contract category to coordinate, manage and deliver the Contract Management functions listed below;Governance: Develop and enforce the contract management framework to ensure adherence across the organization.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements affecting contracts.
Facilitate regular reviews of the contract management framework to align with evolving organizational needs and external regulations.Training and Awareness: Design and deliver training programs for contract sponsors, managers, and owners to understand their roles and responsibilities within the contract management framework.Reporting and Compliance: Develop and maintain comprehensive reporting systems to monitor contract compliance and performance.
Ensure contracts are audited regularly to verify compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Manage and report on contract lifecycle events, including renewals, terminations, and escalations.Performance Management: Monitor and evaluate the performance of strategic contracts through KPIs, supplier engagements, and third-party meetings.
Identify and address performance gaps through strategic interventions and improvements.Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance contract management processes and outcomes.
Stay abreast of industry best practices and incorporate them into the contract management framework.Liaise with SJGHC Executive and Chiefs, as well as their Directors and other SJGHC caregivers to seek buy-in and support for an organization-wide framework.Responsible for developing and maintaining Project Management artefacts; including preparing project reports and other management products.Identifying, registering, and escalating risks and issues relating to the development and continual improvement of the Contract Management Framework.Managing stakeholders to ensure project expectations are understood, agreed to and met.Ensuring that the documented quality standards of the project are met.Report to and participate in project and steering meetings.Plan and lead continuous improvement activities post-implementation of the Contract Management Framework.You will have a strong understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks relating to contracts and a demonstrated ability to coordinate organization-wide processes ensuring timely, relevant, and accurate outcomes.
You will have advanced skill with spreadsheet, database and word processing applications and have highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to facilitate stakeholder consultation and participation.
To succeed you will have proven experience in contract management, preferably within the healthcare sector, with the proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to completion and to manage tight deadlines.
It is highly regarded if you possess a tertiary qualification in law, business, project management or equivalent.
