The Contract and Service Development Officer is part of the Funding and Service Assurance team and supports the implementation of the contract lifecycle from contract set-up to contract close-out.The role is primarily responsible for managing contracts and establishing productive and respectful relationships with a diverse range of suppliers to meet the needs of people with disability, seniors, and carers.The Contract and Service Development Officer will be responsible for monitoring contract performance to ensure that contract obligations and requirements are met. This includes recommending payments in accordance with the contract using the Queensland Government's Procure to Invest (P2i) system. This will often involve liaising with the relevant suppliers to seek additional information or clarification, program areas, or other members of the team. The officer will be required to maintain good records management with respect to all communication, especially those with suppliers.The Contract And Service Development Officer Key Responsibilities Are: Manage contracts with suppliers within a human services environment.Build and maintain productive and respectful working relationships with a diverse range of suppliers to ensure a quality responsive service is delivered to our vulnerable clients.Provide advice and information to suppliers and departmental staff regarding investment specifications, quality assurance systems, and accountability requirements.Monitor service delivery by suppliers to ensure compliance with contracts, program guidelines, legislation, and other departmental requirements.Identify, monitor, and implement remedial action to improve supplier performance and recognize when issues need to be escalated.Support the renewal, variations, and ending of contracts with suppliers.Work collaboratively with key internal business areas to ensure value and quality of service delivery.Professionally represent the department at forums with key stakeholders and suppliers.Prepare briefs, plans, quotes, correspondence, and other departmental reports in a timely and professional manner, consistent with departmental guidelines.Applications to remain current for 12 months.Occupational group: Administration
